There are several different types of Champagne. Brut is the driest and the most popular, Extra-dry is less dry than Brut. Sec is sweet, and Demi Sec is even sweeter. ampagne should be stored at around 55 degrees °F (13°C) , in a dark damp location on its side to keep the cork from drying out. Prior to serving, the Champagne should be chilled for a few hours in the fridge to bring the temperature down. Champagne should be served at about 45 degrees °F (7°C) in tall narrow-necked glasses to preserve the bubbles and flavour.
